About me

I studied voice and piano and completed my training from the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg with a degree in music education (diploma grade record, German equivalent of a master’s degree) in the study subjects of classical voice technique and piano as well as an opera and concert singer.

At first I worked as an opera singer, both as a soloist and in the choir.

From 1992-1998 I was retained in the Dresden Semper Opera chorus as a first soprano and took part solo in numerous ensemble performances directed by famous conductors such as Giuseppe Sinopoli, Sir Colin Davis, Herbert Blomstedt, and many others.

I lived in the Middle East for four years and sang many concerts including at various cultural institutions in Israel, Jordan, Greece and the Lebanon. At the same time I received an engagement as a vocal and piano teacher at the Jordan National Conservatory for Music and Drama, preparing students for their artistic examination. In addition, I taught singing for high school courses at the American School in Amman, Jordan.

In 2002 I founded my own studio for voice and piano in Dresden, Germany. Since then I work as a freelance singing and piano pedagogue in my own studio together with people from many countries, both with laypersons and also in preparing aspiring artists for their artistic entrance as well as matriculation examinations.

The main focus of my work is on the motivation, the joy of making music and the discovery of one’s own musicality and the development one’s individual voice and piano playing.

In order to work with unconventional and internationally proven methods little known in Germany thus far, I studied at the Academy of Networked Thinking in Music in Tübingen, Germany, with an emphasis on acquiring the state-of-the-art, brain-physiologically reasonable methods of learning in musical education. This methodology not only enhances the students’ intelligence by networked thinking, but guaranteed to be fun and rewarding with fast progress. The method is also suitable for adults without any previous musical training.

Everyone is warmly invited who wants to quickly, easily and joyously learn singing and piano with me. The repertoire ranges from songs and classical music to jazz and pop.

To effectively address the increasing demands from stressful everyday and work life and the resulting needs for relaxation and balance, I acquired additional skills in music-based meditation techniques that can either be taught to accompany the musical education or even solely by it.

Since 2002 I am an active member of the German Musicians Association (DTKV), National Association of Saxony.
